Michele Coele created a dramatic reading to commemorate the thousandth anniversary of the uprising against the Danes in Oxford which was performed at the Holywell Music Rooms and then at Christ Church Cathedral in 2002 with the main parts taken by David Bradley and Susannah York.

I made several versions of this text, some of which were presented to the readers to thank them for their contribution.
